The leather is made from carefully selected North American steer hide. After chrome tanning, a 3M™ water-repellent agent is added during the dyeing process, allowing it to penetrate deep into the leather fibers.
As the treatment permeates the core of the fibers, it provides long-lasting protection against water and oil, even from the reverse side, edges, or scratched areas.
A generous amount of special waterproof oil is further infused, resulting in an exceptionally soft and supple feel. The surface is finished to achieve a fine, kip-like grain.
This ultimate soft smooth leather can only be achieved through precise balance in tanning, dyeing, and oil formulation.
This leather has passed the “SCOTCHGARD®” monitoring test, offering water, oil, and stain resistance (including resistance to fingerprints). As the test includes surface abrasion, the effectiveness does not diminish with use.
The auxiliary material is INVISTA’s 1680D CORDURA® Ballistic nylon, which offers approximately five times the abrasion, tear strength, and durability of standard nylon. A PVC coating on the reverse side further enhances strength and water resistance.
The tape is woven from hollow nylon yarn, making it approximately 20% lighter than conventional tape. The lining features an original jacquard fabric with the master-piece logo.
The front pocket zipper uses YKK EXCELLA®, with each element meticulously polished. The main zipper is a reversed YKK coil zipper with water-repellent treatment.
Additionally, YKK AquaGuard® zippers are used in selected areas to provide water resistance. By combining waterproof leather with high-strength CORDURA® Ballistic nylon, this series embodies an urban-outdoor concept with refined functionality and texture.
